What is 304 & 304L Stainless Steel?
SAE 304 and 304L stainless steel are similar to SAE 303, however, they have increased corrosion resistance and increased toughness. These properties are credited to the increased chromium content. A key benefit is their ability to retain toughness when exposed to cryogenic temperature. They are easily worked with for fabrication, easily cleaned, and have a generally good appearance.
